rdv.consulat.ma is the official and completely free platform for booking appointments at all Moroccan consulates worldwide. Launched in 2019 by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it centralizes appointment booking for all consular services. Any third-party platform offering paid appointments is a scam: never use them.

1

Create an account on rdv.consulat.ma

Go to rdv.consulat.ma and click 'Create an account'. Enter your email address (it will serve as your login), create a secure password, and complete your profile with your personal information (surname, first name, Moroccan passport number). A confirmation email will be sent to your address: click the validation link to activate your account. Note: only one account per person is allowed. If you forget your password, use the 'Forgot password' function. Store your credentials in a secure password manager so you don't lose them.

💡 Tip — Use an email address you check regularly, as appointment confirmations and reminders will be sent there.

⚠️ Warning — Do not create multiple accounts with different addresses: this may cause your accounts to be blocked by the system.

2

Identify the consulate responsible for you

The competent consulate is the one that geographically covers your place of residence. It is not necessarily the closest or largest consulate: it is the one with jurisdiction over your department or region. In France for example, if you live in Lyon, you fall under the Lyon consulate, not Paris. On rdv.consulat.ma, the list of consulates is organized by country then by city. If you are unsure which consulate covers you, check on consulat.ma or contact the consulate by email to confirm your catchment area before booking.

💡 Tip — Check your consular zone on consulat.ma before any procedure. Booking an appointment at the wrong consulate results in rejection on the day.

⚠️ Warning — If you appear at a consulate that is not geographically responsible for you, your file will be rejected and you will have to start over.

3

Select the desired service

Once logged in and your consulate selected, choose the consular service you need from the dropdown menu: consular registration, passport renewal, CNIE application, document legalization, civil status certificate, power of attorney, etc. Each service has its own time slots and document requirements. Carefully read the list of required documents displayed after your selection, and make sure you have all the documents before confirming your appointment. Some services require an online form to be completed before the appointment.

💡 Tip — Download the list of required documents as soon as you select the service and prepare your file before the appointment day.

4

Choose an available time slot

The calendar displays available slots for the coming weeks. Taken slots appear in grey, available slots in green or blue depending on the consulate. If the calendar is entirely grey (no slots available), it means all slots are taken until the next release. New slots are published every Monday at 9:00 AM local consulate time. Cancellations are also released unpredictably during the week. Select the slot that suits you and proceed to the confirmation step. Do not book multiple appointments for the same service: this penalizes other users.

💡 Tip — Log in on Monday morning just before 9:00 AM and be ready to select a slot as soon as they open. Competition can be fierce for some consulates.

⚠️ Warning — Do not book multiple slots for the same service. If needed, cancel the old one before booking a new one.

5

Confirm the appointment and receive confirmation

After selecting your slot, review the summary (consulate, service, date, time) and click 'Confirm'. A confirmation email is immediately sent to your address with all appointment details and a recap of documents to bring. Print or save this confirmation email: you will need to present it on the day of your appointment. The platform also sends a reminder 48 hours before your appointment. If you do not receive a confirmation email, check your spam folder or log back in to verify the appointment is recorded in your personal area.

💡 Tip — Add the appointment to your calendar (Google Calendar, iCloud, etc.) immediately after confirmation so you don't forget it.

⚠️ Warning — Not receiving a confirmation email does not mean the appointment was not booked: check your personal space on rdv.consulat.ma before trying again.

In depth

The rdv.consulat.ma platform was developed to put an end to the long queues outside consulates and the appointment reselling practices that existed before 2019. Despite this digitalization, some high-traffic consulates (Paris, Brussels, Montreal, Madrid) remain very saturated, especially in summer (June-September) and before major religious holidays. To maximize your chances of getting a slot quickly, log in early on Monday morning, enable platform notifications, and check regularly during the week for cancellations. It is also possible to be represented by an authorized proxy for certain services, which can be useful if you live far from the consulate or have a demanding schedule. Moroccan consulates outside France, Belgium and Canada are generally less crowded.

❌ Common mistakes to avoid

  • Paying a third-party platform to get a consular appointment when rdv.consulat.ma is completely free
  • Appearing at a consulate that is not geographically responsible for you, resulting in systematic rejection
  • Booking multiple slots for the same service, which may lead to account suspension

❓ Frequently asked questions

How do I know which consulate is responsible for me?

Your competent consulate is the one geographically responsible for your habitual place of residence. In France, each city or department is linked to a specific consulate (Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Lille, etc.). You can check your catchment area on consulat.ma by selecting your country and city. If in doubt, contact the consulate directly by email with your postal code to confirm.

How do I enable notifications to be alerted of available slots?

On rdv.consulat.ma, after logging in, go to your profile and enable email notifications for your consulate and the desired service. You will receive an email as soon as a new slot becomes available. Additionally, some Telegram and Facebook groups dedicated to MREs relay slot openings in real time for the most in-demand consulates. These community groups are an excellent resource for quick information.

What should I do if no slots are available on rdv.consulat.ma?

If no slots are available, don't panic: new slots are published every Monday at 9:00 AM local consulate time, and cancellations are unpredictably released during the week. Log in regularly, enable notifications, and join MRE community groups to be alerted. In case of absolute emergency (death, repatriation, medical emergency), contact the consulate directly by phone or email for priority handling outside the platform.

Can I modify or cancel a consular appointment?

Yes, you can modify or cancel your appointment from your personal space on rdv.consulat.ma, as long as the appointment has not yet taken place. Simply log in, go to 'My Appointments' and click 'Cancel' or 'Modify'. If you cancel, the slot is immediately made available for other users. It is strongly advised to cancel as soon as you know you cannot attend, out of respect for other MREs waiting.

What happens if I miss my consular appointment?

If you miss your appointment without canceling it beforehand, you will need to book a new appointment from scratch on rdv.consulat.ma. Multiple unjustified no-shows may result in a temporary account suspension. No refund applies as the service is free. In case of last-minute emergency (illness, accident), notify the consulate by email and cancel on the platform as soon as possible to free up the slot.

Are Moroccan consulates outside France listed on rdv.consulat.ma?

Yes, the rdv.consulat.ma platform covers Moroccan consulates worldwide, not just in France. Belgium, Spain, Italy, Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, and many other countries are included. Slot availability varies: consulates in France, Belgium and Spain are often very busy, while those in countries with fewer MREs generally have more readily available slots.

Is it really free? Why do some websites charge money?

Yes, rdv.consulat.ma is completely and permanently free. Websites that charge money for a Moroccan consular appointment are scams that exploit the difficulty of obtaining slots. These illegal platforms use bots to bulk-book slots and resell them. Never pay for a consular appointment. If you have fallen victim to such a scam, report it to local authorities and the competent Moroccan consulate.
