Summer Pop-Up: Bank of Africa Comes to MRE, 7 Days a Week, No Branch Needed

During Marhaba 2026, Bank of Africa is rolling out pop-up banking spaces on the Agadir Corniche, in downtown Tiznit and at Dania Land park. Open 7 days a week from 10 am to 10 pm, they let MRE get information, personal support and start certain procedures during the holidays.

Key facts

  • Bank of Africa is launching Summer Pop-Up, a network of temporary banking spaces dedicated to Moroccans living abroad during their summer stay, deployed throughout July.
  • Three high-traffic locations: the Agadir Corniche, downtown Tiznit and the Dania Land leisure park.
  • Wide opening hours: 7 days a week, from 10 am to 10 pm. In other words, the bank is open when you are out with the family, not when you are napping.
  • On offer: information on products and services, personal support, certain procedures handled on the spot, and referrals to the right contact, without visiting a traditional branch.

The bank that comes to the beach

It is always the same story. You are on holiday back home, that banking errand has been pending for months, and the branch closes at 3:30 pm while you are at the beach with the kids.

Bank of Africa flips the problem around: set up the bank where MRE spend their summer evenings. A modern space on the corniche, teams available until 10 pm, Sundays included. The idea is simple and it answers a reality every MRE knows: summer days in Morocco belong to the family.

The operation comes with on-site activities and fits the group's long-standing strategy towards Moroccans of the world, a historic client base of the Moroccan banking sector. MRE transfers rank every year among the Kingdom's main sources of foreign currency, funding a large share of consumption, property investment and entrepreneurship back home.

What you can actually do there

In these spaces, Bank of Africa teams welcome visitors to:

  • Get information on banking products and services, including MRE-dedicated offers.
  • Receive one-on-one support on their situation: accounts, transfers, projects.
  • Complete certain procedures directly on site.
  • Be referred to the right branch or service for more complex operations.

A common-sense tip: if you plan to open an account or start a specific operation, bring your ID and usual supporting documents, and confirm on site what can be done in the pop-up space versus in a branch. Our guide also covers opening an MRE bank account and transfer channels.

A structural trend, not a gimmick

This pop-up format reflects a wider movement in the sector: bringing financial services closer to users during periods of high mobility, alongside mobile apps and remote services. For MRE, whose time in Morocco is concentrated into a few weeks, this kind of setup genuinely changes access to banking.

At three busy summer locations: the Agadir Corniche, downtown Tiznit and the Dania Land leisure park. The operation runs throughout July.

What are the opening hours?

7 days a week, from 10 am to 10 pm. Hours designed around summer outings rather than office days.

Do I need to be a Bank of Africa customer?

The spaces welcome visitors for information and orientation. For operations on an account, bring your usual documents and check on site what can be handled directly.

Can everything be done in a pop-up space?

No. Some procedures start on the spot; more complex operations are referred to a branch or remote channels. The point is to save time and to have someone in front of you, at a moment when you are actually available.
