Barceló Hotel Group opens the first Royal Hideaway in Morocco in Casablanca

The Royal Hideaway Casablanca opened its doors on 18 December, marking the arrival of the Royal Hideaway Hotels & Resorts brand for the first time in Morocco and on the African continent. The five‑star establishment offers 310 rooms and suites, from Deluxe Rooms to Presidential Suites, designed for a refined experience in an urban lifestyle.

The design brings the city’s history into dialogue with Moroccan craftsmanship and contemporary lines, integrating local identity into a current vision. The hotel enjoys a strategic location a few minutes from the city centre, close to the Hassan II Mosque, the marina, the Corniche and Casa Finance City.

On the culinary side, the restaurant L’Azurita showcases a 100 % local essence with cuisine that pays homage to Moroccan and Mediterranean traditions. For business travellers, the hotel features nine flexible meeting rooms integrated into the other spaces, positioning it as a benchmark for business events in Casablanca.

The Royal Experiences programme completes the offering with private dinners overlooking the Atlantic and culinary workshops on traditional recipes. Added to these are private or semi‑private tours of Art Deco architecture and urban creations, as well as tastings at Domaine Ouled Thaleb and shopping sessions with a personal shopper.

With this opening, Barceló Hotel Group now manages ten hotels in six cities, Agadir, Casablanca, Fès, Marrakech, Rabat and Tangier, confirming its status as the Spanish hotel chain with the strongest presence in Morocco.
