CAF Cup: Raja and AS FAR learn their opponents

Raja Casablanca will face Al Ahly in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, in Group A, while AS FAR play in Group B against Azam FC, Al Ahli Tripoli and Durban City. Both clubs aim to finish in the top two of their groups.

CAF Confederation Cup: Raja drawn against Al Ahly, AS FAR in Group B

Raja Casablanca and AS FAR now know their opponents in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup. The draw took place on Wednesday in Cairo. It placed the two Moroccan clubs in different groups: Group A for Raja and Group B for AS FAR.

Group A for the Greens includes Egypt's Al Ahly, Togo's ASCK Kara and Angola's Primeiro de Agosto. Raja will therefore face the much-anticipated clash against the Egyptian club. Their aim in this group is to secure a place in the quarter-finals.

AS FAR were drawn into Group B, alongside Tanzania's Azam FC, Libya's Al Ahli Tripoli and South Africa's Durban City. The Military Men will have to get past these three opponents to continue their continental campaign.

Both clubs came through the preliminary rounds and approach this stage with the same goal: to finish in the top two of their group and qualify for the knockout stage.

On the day of the draw, Raja also dropped another point in the Botola, drawing 1-1 with Hassania.
