Morocco is among sixteen countries whose nationals no longer pay the Irish visa application fees, but a visa is still mandatory and admission remains at the discretion of border officers who may refuse entry even after a visa is granted. Each request is still reviewed.
Ireland: visa required, fees waived for Moroccans
Moroccan nationals are now exempt from visa application fees for Ireland. Morocco is among the 16 countries whose nationals benefit from this waiver, according to the Irish immigration services.
In practice, the usual fees of €60 for a single‑entry visa, €100 for a multiple‑entry visa and €25 for a transit visa no longer apply. Note, however, that the visa remains mandatory before departure.
Applicants may still have to pay other fees related to the submission or transmission of their application. This exemption does not affect the assessment of applications.
Each traveller must provide the documents corresponding to the purpose of their stay, with no guarantee of obtaining a visa. Even once it has been issued, entry into Ireland remains subject to checks by the authorities on arrival.
