The ministry creates a dedicated service for teaching Arabic, Amazigh, and Moroccan culture to MRE children, also covering foreign missions in Morocco, and linking this component to cultural diplomacy under the direct responsibility of the cooperation department.

A dedicated service for teaching Arabic and Amazigh to MRE children

Article 85 of the new organisation assigns the department responsible for cooperation and partnerships the oversight of teaching Arabic, Amazigh, Moroccan culture, as well as the history and geography of Morocco to Moroccan children residing abroad. This official framework places direct responsibility for this support at the central level.

The structure goes further by creating, within the cooperation division itself, a service expressly dedicated to supporting this teaching abroad. This is the first clear institutionalisation of this specific mission, which thus moves out of diffuse management to have a dedicated point of contact.

The scope of this service is not limited to the usual consular or associative networks. The mission also covers institutions under foreign missions present in Morocco, extending the field of intervention beyond only classes opened outside national territory.

Beyond this pedagogical aspect, the cooperation division retains responsibility for preparing and monitoring international agreements, both bilateral and multilateral. It also supports partnerships in the education sector, directly linking the fate of this teaching to cultural diplomacy and intergovernmental relations.
