For 2027, the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region totals 21.53 billion dirhams (MMDH) in identified investment envelopes, but the three sources may overlap. Public enterprises account for 20.67 MMDH, and their investments would fall 9.4% according to the article.

Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima: 21.53 MMDH of investment envelopes identified for 2027

For 2027, the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region has a cumulative total of 21.53 MMDH in identified investment envelopes. This total adds together investments from major public operators, the Regional Council's equipment budget and new projects financed by the State. It should be read with caution: the three envelopes do not necessarily cover the same scope, and overlaps between funding sources are likely.

Public establishments and companies (EEP) account for most of the sum, at 20.67 MMDH. This amount represents nearly 10% of the 209.16 MMDH in forecast investment announced nationally for these operators. One figure stands out, however: forecast investment by EEPs in the region is set to fall by 9.4% in 2027. This decline does not necessarily mean a general slowdown in the regional economy. It may reflect the timing of major projects or the completion of certain operations.

On the State side, the general budget provides for seven new projects in the region, with a total cost of 526.66 MDH. Payment appropriations scheduled for 2027 amount to 253.9 MDH. The operations listed include school buildings, the relocation of Martil's fishermen's village and maritime protection in Larache.

The Regional Council, for its part, has adopted a budget of 945.9 MDH for 2027, of which 604.15 MDH is allocated to equipment. Projects focus in particular on health, road infrastructure, flood protection, the environment and tourism development. Maritime tourism also features among the priorities, with a project for an underwater city at M'Diq.
